From Soft Launch to Open for Business

People keep asking me the same question. When did this start?

The truth is it started long before LinkedIn ever saw it.

On my birthday, May 7, I soft launched the Empower Moves Collective™. Quietly. To my personal social media and to the public website. No announcement to the wider world. Just a door propped open for the people already close to me.

Then I went quiet for a while. That gap was not nothing. That gap was the point.

Between May 7 and today, I was still building. Still mentoring. Still speaking. Still having the conversations that started this whole thing years before it had a name. While I was on stage talking captives at RISKWORLD, kicking things off at Prairie View A&M's Risk Professionals Symposium, or sitting at the table for The Private Plug's Insurance Leaders conversation, I was building something else underneath all of it. Brand voice. A trademark filing. A model built from twenty years of watching people find their voice and then finally use it.

I call it the M.O.V.E. Model. Meaning, Ownership, Visibility, Execution. It has been forming in me since long before it had a name. It just needed the right moment to go public.

July 14 is that moment. One year ago, I filed the LLC. That same date, Empower Moves Collective launched publicly on LinkedIn, on the anniversary of the business itself turning one.

The two dates were never supposed to be the same day. May 7 was mine. July 14 belongs to the business. And the space between them is exactly how long it took to go from an idea I soft launched quietly to something I was ready to say out loud.

What I was not ready for was the response.

The comments started coming in fast, and they have not stopped. People I have known twenty years and people I met once at a conference. My mom called it the unfolding of purpose. A colleague called it a labor of love. Someone else said I did what most people never do, birth the idea that was already inside me. Comment after comment, tag after tag, people I respect saying they saw this coming before I said a word about it out loud.

That told me everything I needed to know. This was not a surprise to the people paying attention. It was confirmation.

Through all of it, the mentoring and speakingng never stopped. That part was never new. I have been having those conversations behind the scenes for years, long before there was a name or a website attached to them. Empower Moves Collective did not start that work. It just gave it a place to stand.

So here is the full picture. May 7, I soft launched to my own circle. July 14, one year to the day since filing the LLC, Empower Moves Collective went public, and the response made it clear this was already welcome.

Open for business. Open for clients. Open for the people who want to connect, be coached, and make their own move.

More is coming.
